There are approximately 1,345 children in foster care in Idaho at any given point. Unfortunately our region which covers eight counties had 134 children come into care between July 2013 and July 2014. That is 11 children per month entering into care due to abuse or neglect. Most often when a child is removed from their home due to abuse or neglect, they will travel with a plastic bag in hand... if they have anything at all. Sadly a majority of the kids that come into care have nothing at all.

It is my goal to establish Stuff a Duffel as a self sustaining community project, because no child should have to move with a garbage bag. And it is my goal to Stuff 50 Duffel bags this year for our youth ranging in age from 12-18 years old, and to someday provide every child in our region with a duffel bag of their very own.
